We are pleased to welcome you as a new resident at Hyde Park. As a new resident, you will need to register with our management. This requires completing and submitting the Resident or Owner Information Sheet. A checklist of actions management will take is also provided for your information. You will note that this checklist covers both moving in and moving out; further, specific actions taken by management depend on whether you are an owner or renter.
In either case, you will probably need to use the freight elevator. Use of the freight elevator requires completion and submission of the Freight Elevator Reservation Request and Statement of Liability to the front desk. Persons using the freight elevator must conform to the Freight Elevator Policy.
Information related to moving in also includes the text of the Virginia Code regarding use of smoke detectors. Other information about the building and some of the more important rules are provided as well.
As a new owner, you may want to undertake certain renovations in your unit. To begin the process, complete and return the Renovation Checklist Form to the management office.
You will no doubt want to park your vehicle(s) in the Hyde Park garage. You will first need to register any vehicle you intend to park there, using the Vehicle Decal Registration Form.
We also hope you will become active in the management of the building and our Association. One way to do this is to join one of our Committees. The Hyde Park Board of Directors depend on recommendations of committees for preparation of the annual budget, review of the physical plant and recommendations for repairs and improvements, the development of rules and regulations, and much more. By joining a committee you will an important say in how the building is managed and how the Association is financed. |
