In either case, be prepared to answer the questions asked by the emergency operator. Be assured that while you are speaking with the operator, a dispatcher is reading the information being entered by the operator and has dispatched a police unit to the location you have given.

The police department can also provide information about Arlington Watch programs, bicyle safety, avoiding being a victim of crimes, including auto theft and theft from items in the car. The police department also recommends that you complete an "Owner's Identification Form, available from the department, for use in identify your personal items. In the event of theft, the form will provide useful information. You can also use the form in filing insurance claims.
